- Inspiration: Watching nature documentaries is an extremely relaxing activity for me (being a Zoology grad is an added pro). In a particular episode of ‘Planet Earth’, David Attenborough, the gem of nature documentaries, beautifully describes this extraordinary creature — ‘Portuguese man of war’. It floats on water directed by winds (just like we are “floating” through life directed by time) (this was a rhetorical philosophical tangent, I know) looking harmless and rather serene at the first look. It, however, encompasses lethal tentacles beneath the water — and BOOM! Strikes the inspiration for the next illustration.
- Research: Kept an eye out for its anatomical characteristics for the illustration to be scientifically accurate. I have tried to differentiate the zooids (part of the organism specified for a function) with distinct colors to represent their particular feature.
